Easter picture of the girls

Chicago Vacation- Field Museum

I thought we would share our vacation with you. We had fun in Chicago. We went to several places (without getting lost). We saw some interesting people, lost of traffic, lots of places and learned we have no desire to live in Chicago. We will stick with visiting it on occassion. First, we went to the Field Museum. It was definetly our least favorite. The girls got a little bored. It was definetly for school aged kids. It was still nice to go and see.

Chicago- Shedd Aquarium

This is a big place. Lots of fish. I didn't realize how many different kinds of fish there was. The dolphin show was okay. The indy zoo dolphin show is much better. The girls like it though. The girls enjoyed the penguins. The 4D movie scared the living daylights out of Makayla. She hated the water squirting at you , the smells, the chair poking at you and whatever else it did. I had to stand at the top of the room with her along with the 7 or 8 other kids who got scared too. It was a sponge bob movie but the beginning was animals in the sea. A little too much for some little ones. Breawna thought it was absolutely hilarious and probably would have watched it several times if we would let her. I guess I didn't take any pictures here, sorry.

Chicago- Planetarium

The planetarium was okay. The 3D movie was cute. Mike couldn't watch any of the 3d movies we watch because he has no depth perception. Basically, the glasses did nothing for him. The girls didn't really understand much in here or really don't care much about the solar system. We could of watched another movie but the only one that was kid friendly was about the big bang theory and I didn't feel I needed to educate my kids on that. Overall it was okay. The picture of the girls was in front of the Planetarium.

Chiacgo- Sears Tower

It was nice to see the Sears tower. It is nuts how fast you go up in the elevator. I think they said it goes 12 mph. The girls enjoyed looking through the viewing scopes. Whatever you call them.

Chicago- Museum of Science and Industry

The girls had a lot of fun here. It was very hands on. The IMAX movie scared the girls. They enjoyed the kids only play area with a water play area. They loved the funny mirrors and all the interactive things to do. They had a submarine (real size), a train, a coal mine to go through, a toy factory, and there was still more. We all enjoyed it.

Chicago- Navy Pier

Navy Pier was fun. It was fun watching Mike have a minor anxiety attack on the giant ferris wheel that we got him on. The girls rode some rides and we watched a magic show. It was the best one I have ever seen. Well tried to watch if you count all the rude people who stood in front of us and then stole our seats and literally sat on Mikes feet.

Chicago- Lincoln Park Zoo

The girls had a lot of fun at the Zoo. So did we especially because it was free. Lots of animals to look at, we even got the pleasure of watching this big butt monkey pick at each others poop on their butt and smell and eat it. It was lovely. I have never seen anything so gross. The monkeys had played in their poop and smeared it on the glass where you look through to them. They definetly had some issues.

Chicago- Cubs Game

Yeah, they won. Of course Mike had a blast. We got there ridiculously early but everyone stayed in good moods. The girls really enjoyed learning about baseball. It got them excited about t- ball this summer. We ate lots and enjoyed two homeruns. Mike is already planning a second trip except this one is with his brother. Go Figure! :)

Our Girls

Breawna and Makayla are getting so big. They are becoming big girls. They are now 4 and definetly are into being different. We are very proud of them.
